    In architecture field, floor plan means drawing and viewing from above relationship between rooms,spaces and other physical features .It may reflect single room or entire building. Floor plans may also include particulars of fixtures like sinks, water heaters, furnaces, etc. Floor plans may include notes for construction to specify finishes, construction methods, or symbols for electrical items. They’re also a popular tool for real estate agents and leasing companies in helping sell or rent out a space. Floor plans are essential for designing or building a home as they increase its value by showing proper coordination between spaces and increase its resale value .A good floor plans need below mentioned characteristic.Technically it means as horizontal section cut through a building traditionally at four feet / one meter and twenty centimetres above floor level, showing walls, windows and door openings and other features at that level. The plan view includes anything that could be seen below that level: the floor, stairs,fittings and sometimes furniture. Objects above the plan level can be indicated as dashed lines.


    Multipurposeand flexible Floor plan should be so flexible that a kid’s room can be changed to office or anything else according to customer’s requirement

    Adjust into your lifestyle and main priority:Floor plan should be such that there is proper flow among spaces according to the requirements .For e.g. if you work from home them your office should be well lighted and with proper ventilation and in quite corner .Or if entertainment is important to you then there should proper coordination or flow among kitchen or main or living room.Also whenever floor plans are constructed then size should be given main importance .One should be clear in mind about number of people would be staying in that spaces.For e.g. while creating main hall or living room, number of people staying in that space should be always well thought before making it. Also align properly practical considerations and architectural details well before.


    Tips for perfect floor plan

    Avoid computer monitor facing glare

    Make enough spaces in front of cabinets and drawer so that drawer can be easily accessible

    When it’s all about planning an office room, make sure person’s back should not be facing door as many people feels very much strong about it.

    Whenever it’s about placing a furniture .Make sure to keep furniture away from wall almost 2-4inches

    Put a tape line on the floor to see how different dimensions would feel.Don’t line all the furniture up along the walls. Break up spaces by placing pieces out in the room.
